Is “human rights” language misused in the West? This talk will highlight three myths: (1) Human rights have been championed by the West and resisted by the non-West; (2) The concept of human rights is a product of post-Enlightenment individualism and secularism; (3) Human rights can be asserted without any grounding metaphysical framework or narrative.
Hosted by 5CIV and the Claremont Christian Scholars
